Don't let these shy muses get trampled underfoot!

It is the time of year that the Flairocks emerge. They are the first to wake from the sleeping earth like dream-beings that arise from your subconscious. They’re disguised as rocks on the ground so can easily be overlooked.
It's the coldest time of year, and the rest of the landscape is still sleeping. But the Flairocks awaken because they are called by the magic of stories. A story can coax the leaves from the trees and the flowers from their hiding places. It makes the impossible not so out of reach. It can make rocks defy gravity and float through the air on delicate wings like those fat bumble bees that somehow fly.
The favorite kind of stories to Flairocks are love stories and stories of how friends met. And, most especially the stories of how a work of art was inspired, because that usually contains all kinds of passion, love and deep feeling. Valentine's Day is usually the time of year when many of these stories are told. It's the inspiration of these narrations that give Flairocks the wings to fly. And it helps, because they have a special job to do.
They go in search of the DayDreams (DeeDees for short) that have scattered from the previous year. DeeDee seeds are very tiny and drift along on the wind. They won’t survive long without loving care and attention. Many don’t notice them because they don’t know what they are, if they see them at all, but Flairocks are well-equipped to notice a DeeDee when they see one.
The secret of these seeds is that they have the potential to sprout into Muses that inspire stories and connections just like the ones the Flairocks love. So the Flairocks gather them close and return them to earth to the Flairocks who wait on the ground to collect them in their woven nest.
Some Flairocks are afraid of flying but they are very loving and excellent caretakers of the DeeDee seeds. They are good at selecting which ones are important to nurture and cultivate. Without them the DeeDees would accidentally get neglected and lost. So instead of using stories as wings, these Flairocks, (known as Rocky Mountain Hermit Crabs) read stories to the DeeDees seeds so they can learn to fly on their own one day.
It’s easy to lose DeeDees to the flurries of the hurrying wind. DeeDees take time to grow into colorful creatures with their own distinctive life and personality.
Each muse that shows up with each new season has wisdom to impart. It takes a moment to notice. It takes openness to cultivate imagination. Pick up a rock to marvel how it got there, where it’s been and the stories it can hold for you.
Rocks With Flair do the impossible because you give them life with your magic mind!
